Christmas wreaths

I've been busy beavering away making some Christmas bits lately.

These wreaths are a great Christmas make. I used Women's Institute wool and a styrofoam wreath from hobby craft.

If you'd like to make your own you can find the patterns for the parts I crocheted here:

Cornwall part 2

Summer seems so long ago...

Cornwall part 1!

Last week I went to Cornwall with some friends. We stayed in the most amazing bungalow - my friends godmothers - full of lovely touches (more photos from the holiday tomorrow)

Queen Elizabeth Country Park

I grew up just around the corner from QE Park, it's great for walks (it's on the south downs way), bike rides and picnics.

Wedding season 2

There's not much that beats a wedding with some of your oldest friends.

Yep I'm wearing that Monsoon dress again - it's just the best.

Grow London

I like taking pictures of plants almost as much as I like taking pictures of dogs! Grow London was pretty gorgeous - so was the weather and the view from Hampstead Heath.

Crochet necklace

I'm still working with sidar snuggly baby bamboo, it's so nice to crochet with. I saw a version of this necklace on Pinterest from this blog. she'd used a similar yarn to me I think and it makes the necklace more of a collar one which I like compared to the pattern (I used a 4mm hook).
The main thing I changed was just to do fewer rounds (I wasn't sure about the phallic shape of the original!). I think I still need to change a little of the last row and how it joins and get a proper metal fastening but I'm pretty happy with it and looking to make some more in different colours! You could even customise further with embellishments...
Don't get carried away Caitlin.
yeah I still can't take photos of myself looking at the camera...
