Crochet square throw

I really liked this blanket and when one of my friends said she was moving and would like something made for her new place for her birthday I immediately thought of adapting it.

The motif I used was easy to join as you go so I started with four white squares and then added each layer around. It worked up pretty quickly but sewing in the ends took aaaaaaaaages.

I used WI arun as I think acrylic is better for these things sometimes - machine washable is important if you are going to be using it a lot. The WI ones come in great colours and feel less plasticy than most.
