I finished my epic blanket! I'm using it as runner across the bottom of my bed (which is kingsized - so yeah... pretty long blanket!) and am really happy with how it turned out.
The pattern is a pretty basic one from the Summer 2012 Debbie Bliss magazine (below) but rather than the wool the suggest I used the cheaper
Sirdar /Hayfield BONUS ARAN 400g.
Very snuggly and ready for winter in my new room!
